万建民团队揭示OsCNGC9蛋白在水稻抗病中的作用

近日,Cell Research(IF15.393)在线发表了中国农科院作物科学研究所万建民团队题为“A cyclic nucleotide-gated channel mediates cytoplasmic calcium elevation and disease resistance in rice”的研究论文,揭示了环核苷酸门控离子通道蛋白9(OsCNGC9)在介导细胞质钙离子升高和水稻抗病中的作用。

该研究团队通过突变体鉴定和遗传分析等方法克隆获得水稻CDS1(CELL DEATH and SUSCEPTIBLE to BLAST 1)基因编码的环核苷酸门控离子通道蛋白OsCNGC9,该基因对稻瘟病抗性具有正向的调控作用。OsCNGC9能够介导PAMP诱导的钙离子流,这对于PAMP触发的ROS爆发和PTI相关防御基因表达具有重要作用。进一步结果表明,PTI相关的受体样胞质激酶OsRLCK185能够与OsCNGC9互作,并通过磷酸化修饰改变其通道活性。
